Get Ahead of Those Midterms With Wireless Internet

The school year is now in full swing; winter break has been over for a little bit and kids are now starting to get back into that five-day-a-week study zone. Sure, reuniting with old friends and going out are always part of the school life, but within no time homework will start piling up, due dates for papers will begin to arrive and those midterms will start creeping up. Crunch time is literally just around the corner.

During this high intensity period, it is very common to see everybody head to the library or the local coffee shops to hit the books, as if the midterm exams banished all students to these particular places to study for the entire night. It makes sense for everyone to study in these areas, since wireless Internet is almost always available. In this modern technological culture, many of today’s textbooks include online editions with study questions and guides. So, students are utilizing their mobile air cards and wireless laptops in these places to really take advantage of those last remaining hours of cram time.

Granted, studying in your room is beneficial, but it can get boring very fast. Many educators recommend mixing up the setting – and subsequently the lighting – in order to increase the absorption rate of studied information. At the same time, however, you want to avoid the libraries and coffee shops do to the massive amounts of people. Sure, many are in fact studying, but a lot of people are simply chatting, texting and surfing the Internet, which can be easily distracting.

Instead of searching for a quiet place in the library or an empty seat in a crowded coffee shop while succumbing to the traditional college cramming rituals that all other students seem to participate in, free yourself from the conventional and dictate your own study schedule with the help of a WiMax connection.

By utilizing the wireless network, you will be able to avoid the crowds of the study halls, libraries and local coffee shops that are littered with other, nervous students. Not to mention that with the current availability of mobile WiMax in many major cities, you can subscribe to the service and access the Internet from anywhere you choose. Skip studying on campus and head to your favorite watering hole or neighborhood park. Get some sun while you study, instead of exposing your skin to the unnatural light rays of fluorescent bulbs.

Plus, with the current and popular release of the 4G wireless network, all of your online textbooks, notes and other relevant information can be accessed from anywhere with ease.

So, avoid the cram sessions and free yourself. Study from anywhere you choose and not feel rushed by the countless hoards of students cramming vocabulary and math equations into their brains at the very last minute. Dictate your schedule and study with ease. Because if you study while in a relaxed, calm environment, chances are that you are going to do a lot better on those midterms than those stressed out students, pulling the all-night study sessions.

The Five Biggest Mistakes That People Make With Social Media

1: Follow too many people too quickly – You want more people to follow you than you follow – I have heard of people getting banned by over cooking – so take your time and let people follow you naturally. You can encourage more people by posting more interesting information – if you post interestingly, you will get more followers.

2: You bio is incomplete – In your hurry to get out there, you forget to tell people who you are – this is the place for keywords too. You have to find a way of writing all about yourself – you have 20 characters more – you have have 160 to play with – don’t worry you can change them at any time. But you need to complete this. It is the same for your website – get one if you have not got one – they do not cost much – it can be a link to your blog. Your bio is how people check you out, this is the foundation of trust, or put more accurately, congruency. Potential followers need to see that they are about to follow someone that is congruent with the initial post that they saw before looking at your profile. Quick reminder: include keywords in your profiles!

3: Forget to broadcast your articles, thoughts, work and blog posts – This is a key business tool and has produced some very fast responses for me. As a tweet with a link with something that could be a related article is like taking candy to a baby. On reading an on message tweet I am salivating even before I can click the mouse. So the worst thing I can do is forget to announce – and if it is that great announce each part of it with separate hyperlinks for added sophistication…

4: People try to sell, rather than position themselves as experts and share information – This is fundamental to the mindset and is like a red rag to a bull, it is the fastest way to lose followers that you have carefully nurtured over time – not a good strategy… You can sell when they visit your article, you can make your article a landing page if you must, but definitely not a place to sell.

5: Getting into arguments or speaking badly about people online… enough said?

The Future of Wireless Internet Has Landed – Are You Ready For It?

It’s the news that so many tech-freaks have been anxiously awaiting for god knows how long: 4G wireless networks are here, and they are expanding all over the country at breakneck speeds! The fourth (and latest) generation of mobile standards have undergone an incredibly long incubation period in labs and development testing centers, and they have been refined to perfection; this time around, wireless doesn’t only mean convenience, it also means the highest levels of performance a person could possibly expect, even in comparison with most cable connections to the web that people have in their offices or homes. In the US and in various other developed (and even some less developed) nations 4G networks are being rolled out in dozens upon dozens of principal cities and even, as of the last several months, in more obscure and remote locations where the idea of having the vanguard of mobile internet present was something that completely blindsided the locals…after all, in the past it always took so incredibly long for the latest in mobile services to reach remote locations.

Here in the States, 4G had its first successful launch on the marketplace in Baltimore, Maryland, and based on the results obtained from those testing grounds companies have been more than encouraged enough to go ahead and start unleashing such networks on scores of other locations. As it turns out, there is an absolutely insatiable thirst, a ravaging hunger for truly robust wireless services even in the most unheard of locales-the kinds of places where companies have always thought “nope, not worth investing in roll outs there.” That kind of outlook may have been appropriate 5 or 10 years ago, but over the last decade things have taken a major turn: these days, everybody wants wireless internet, and they want it to be highly effective at doing just about everything that they want it to do for them.

That has given rise to some truly remarkable applications in fourth generation mobile devices-the kinds of applications that users of previous-generation mobile devices could even bring themselves to dream of. Applications have been created to meet virtually every kind of demand that a mobile user may have, no matter whether they are a traveling businessperson, a young person that wants to access entertainment and chat with friends on the go, or a company trying to give the best in support services and promotional information to its customers. A few examples that are currently revolutionizing the mobile market: video calls in real time between multiple participants, making the idea of the moving conference a reality at long last; music and video file download applications and live chat that will keep today’s youth satisfied no matter where they happen to be prowling; and customer support video apps with fully updated toggling promotional material on screen to give people that degree of appreciation that they deserve for their time and money.

Maximize Your Broadcast

In order to optimize each e-mail broadcast, it is important to choose the right words that you will insert in the “From” line and in the “Subject” line of your message. They have to get the recipient’s attention and to encourage him to open your message. Your document designed in an appropriate manner will guide your potential client towards your Web site or a request for additional information.
While you create your HTML page, it is essential to place hyperlinks (similar or different) at several places on the document; this way, you make sure that the access to your Web site is simple, easy and fast.
If you want to promote several products and services with the same e-mail, it is strongly recommended to link each product or service with an hyperlink which will lead the recipient to a precise page on your Web site for additional information. This will enable the Net surfer to go further in its information query, simply and effectively.
The frequency of an e-mail broadcast constitutes a very important criterion of its success, more than for any other form of direct marketing. Indeed, this media have undoubtedly a substantial and almost instantaneous impact, but its effect lasts only a few days. This is why it is necessary to support your promotions by several broadcasts in a relatively short interval. In this manner, you will maximize the response rate of the database used, while carrying out an excellent branding of your organization.
The e-mail content can be rather elaborate. We know however that a too long message will discourage the reader to go further on in getting the information. It is thus preferable to place hyperlinks which will enable him to visit easily the pages that he wants.

Internet Fax Services – Which One is Right For You?

Online or Internet fax has become extremely popular in our ever-increasing mobile society and workplace, mainly because with this modern way of faxing you can take your faxing with you, no matter where you go. While it is far too early to forecast the demise of the traditional fax machine, the writing is on the wall. This is one form of “cloud computing” that’s here to stay.

Internet fax is often referred to as email fax because you use your email system and your Internet connection to send and receive all your faxes. You sign-up to an online fax service provider where you’re given a local or toll-free fax number. There is no need for an extra fax phone line since everything is handled through the web. Your faxes are sent as email attachments, usually in Tiff or Pdf formats.

If you’re in need of online faxing, there are many top-name Internet fax service providers to choose from. Average monthly charges run around $10 a month, but there are cheaper rates and plans out there, especially if your faxing needs are minimum. Since this is an ongoing business expense, it pays to do your homework and shop around. If you choose wisely, you can save significant amounts of money, especially over the long term,.

But which fax service is right for you or your company?

First, you must make a close examination of your own faxing needs. Do you or your company depend heavily on faxing to bring in sales, for contacting clients, or for communicating with your employees? If you need a robust faxing service with thousands of faxes sent and received each month, then you have to be extra careful when picking your online faxing service. Are their services 100% reliable? Can they handle your heavy faxing? Are the rates competitive with using a traditional fax machine?

Now on the other hand, if your faxing needs are very minimum or low, you probably only send 4 or 5 faxes a month and they’re not crucial to your business, then choosing an Internet fax service will require less consideration. Keep in mind, you still want a good quality service but you can probably get a service for under $20 a year if you shop around.

Regardless of which type of service you’re seeking, here are some common points or a checklist of things to look for when choosing an online fax service.

1. Check the monthly fee or charge. The average is around $10 but there are cheaper ones which you can choose. Also keep in mind, some of these services also offer bundled plans which include voice mail, call-waiting, call-forwarding… or a virtual PBX service which may be well suited to you or your company especially if you’re operating a home business. Charges will be higher, but they will be much less expensive than setting up a real system with phone lines and receptionists. Just consider the virtual PBX option, especially if your overall business operating funds are low.

2. Check the set-up fees or charges. Most online fax services don’t charge a set-up fee but there are a few that do. Don’t necessarily rule these companies out because of the set-up fees but just be aware of them.

3. Check the number of Free Faxes allowed each month. The average is around 300 (incoming/outgoing) faxes each month, but these numbers will differ depending on the company or even the fax plan you choose. Also check how much it costs for faxes once you go over the allowed monthly limit, rates can be anywhere from 3 cents to 10 cents per fax. Might not seem like much but like phone bills, these costs can quickly add up.

4. Check if your service is completely scalable for companies. One of the great advantages of using an online fax service, it can be scaled up or scaled down very quickly and cheaply since you don’t have to install extra hardware such as fax phone lines or fax machines. Most of the better known fax services are completely scalable but also check before you sign-up.

5. Check the online storage amount and how long your faxes are stored online. With most fax providers you are given an online account or interface which you can use to check and send your faxes. Your faxes are also stored online here so check for how long and what amount of storage you get with the service. You should also check how exactly are your faxes sent, many companies have a desktop application you can use besides your online account and/or your email system.

6. Finally, check to see if the service offers a 30 Day Free Trial. Most Internet fax services offer this feature and it is a great way to thoroughly test-run the quality of a service before actually buying. This way, if the service or provider doesn’t meet your needs or come up to your standards, you won’t have lost any money.

Finally, if you take into consideration all of the points mentioned above when checking out the different fax services, your job will be much easier. Just remember, like buying any product or service, find one that perfectly meets your needs and you won’t be disappointed. Choose wisely.

Music On Hold Origin Selection

Copyright issues are considered while selecting sources of music on hold. Countries where copyright laws are practiced there music is created and composed by the authors. These authors grant copyright protection. The practice of copyright protection has existed since just after the turn of the 20th century and most music written prior to 1900-1910 – from impressionism back to baroque and antiquity are said to be in the “public domain”. Thus usage of any said music prior to the creation of these copyright laws is presumed to be free for use by all.

However there are many individual titles have been later copyrighted through a change in the composition or arrangement. Using copyrighted music is not for free use in the public domain. Author(s) or their assignees own all music written after this period, which is copyrighted under multiple acts of congress. This has been done so that the owner gets some income from its compositions. When taking specifically regarding telephonic music-on-hold, the United States laws currently protect the copyright owners from unlawful and un-permitted use of their music titles in over-the-phone broadcast. Any one who wishes to use current, popular, post 1900-1910, copyrighted music for music on hold purposes may only lawfully do so by obtaining permission from the owner. There are many performance rights societies which sell blanket permission to use music titles in their catalog for music on hold purposes for an annual fee which is evaluated by size and frequency of usage. In case the user fails to pay the amount then he or she will be violating the country’s copyrights laws.

Same rules are implied in case of rebroadcast of any radio program. The broadcaster is assigned a narrow and specific usage license to air copyrighted song titles. But this does not include permission to any person or business to re-broadcast that program on telephonic music on hold. Person who broadcasts the song may not promote such unlawful use and is not an owner who has any lawful right to grant music on hold permission of usage. The broadcasters do not hold the ownership of the tile and have no right to license use in any way. It is necessary to obtain permission from the agencies. In case this is not done then those who plug radio broadcast into their telephone music on hold are stealing unlawful use and may be prosecuted under existing federal laws. Many people do not know that a second copyright exists when it comes to licensing use for telephonic music on hold. Any music piece which is copyrighted and is licensed for use as a music title can be used for music on hold purposes. It should be easily understandable and should be a combination of melody and harmony.

Success Is In Your Hands – For Things To Change, I Must Change First!

Do you know that many people feel they cannot achieve what they want in life because they are not in control of their circumstances? Is it really so?
How many times have you heard this: “If only I had creativity like him, I would be able to develop innovative Internet Marketing products,” or “if only I had the money to start the e-commerce business, then I would be able to set up a business”? Do you know that all these things are within our control the moment we change ourselves?
It sounds unbelievable but it’s true! This requires a shift in your paradigm of thinking and it moves you from a powerless state to a state where you can actually take control. We will now take a look at 3 ordinary people like you and me who are able to achieve what they want in life through this simple principle.
David was a guy in his late 30s who was still actively looking for a partner to settle down. When I ask him why he had not settled down, he replied that he was still looking for his ideal partner. His idea of an ideal partner is a beautiful, smart, elegant and well-mannered lady. I started to ask him, “Would this ideal partner want to take you as her partner?” Immediately, he gets the idea. As David had messy hair, liked to drink and smoke, he realized that his ideal partner would never be attracted to somebody like him. He started to make an effort to comb his hair neatly and kicked his drinking and smoking habits. In a couple of months down the road, he finally found the ideal partner that he was looking for.
Mark was in the Internet Marketing business. He was not getting the sales result that he wanted to achieve. After attending a teleconference call by one of the Internet Marketing gurus, he realized the reason why he was not achieving the sales result he wanted was due to lack of planning and insufficient market research for his product. Mark evaluated his methods and began to make a conscious effort to change the way he works. He started to plan well and do sufficient market research before launching his product. The next product that he released was a runaway success!
Ken was a new teacher. He was allocated to teach the most mischievous class in the whole school. Many teachers in the school had already given up on this class. Initially, Ken tried the usual approach to teach the class, but it didn’t work well. Ken started evaluating his method and decided to change his approach of teaching them. Instead of the usual one-way communication to the student, Ken engaged the students in the class through fun interactions and games. When the exam results was out, the class had dramatically improved their result.
Based on the above stories, we saw that in order to change the situation, the first change must come from within ourselves. Very often, we feel powerless to change our situation when we feel that things are not within our control. Through this simple principle of changing ourselves in order to change things, we have the power to take control rather than being a victim of the circumstances. When we take responsibility for what we get and change ourselves, everything and everybody will change with us! For things to change, I must change…FIRST!
So…
If you want to be the top Internet Marketer, work hard and work smart.
If you want to be the best employee, constantly value-add to the company.
If you want to find the perfect girlfriend, be that perfect boyfriend first.
Take a piece of paper and write down the top 5 things that you want to change and list down the 5 changes that you would take in order to change the situation. If you do not know what the problem is, kindly seek the help of a friend or loved one who can point it out to you. Start changing your life today!

Any Internet Business Idea Success Revolves Around Visitors

Coming up with a great Internet business idea is one thing but in order for it to succeed will be dependent on what you are saying to the visitors coming in. No one just blindly makes purchases and visitor reaction is an important and often overlooked factor with online business. All actions taken with an online business with directly relate to sales and how the business does. Some areas need to be looked at which are often overlooked by online business owners.

Once one understands that the actions of an online business will greatly affect the business no matter how great the Internet business idea may look on paper one can look forward to finding ways to improve in this area for better sales. Think about it, when people are coming into your web site business you are making an impression, a very important first impression that makes the deciding factor in which a sale will be made or not.

It becomes very clear visitors come into web site business and will be put into one of two moods, a positive overall mood or a negative mood and once again this boils down to what you are saying to them once they arrive. Examples of putting visitors in a negative mood can be pushy sales letters, little value to the site with banner ads or just an overall low value site that provides nothing for the visitor. An example of a site that puts someone in a positive mindset can be one, which has page after page of useful and valuable reviews, recommendations or personal experiences. The later is a much better way to approach any Internet business idea with a web site.

For many online businesses, they become numbers bound, all they care about are the numbers of visitors coming into the site with the assurance that more numbers will mean more sales and of course leading to more profits. This is very true, for the most part, increasing visitors should increase sales but not as well or even not at all if the site is not winning over its visitors and giving them a positive experience. The quality of the site and all that is within it will be one of the main deciding factors for visitors but also the pricing will play a role as well as the quality or products and/or services being offered.

An Internet business idea can be anything and almost any idea can work online as a great and exciting business but only if the visitors coming into the site is content. The keyword, no pun intended, to this is that quality has to be a consistent goal of the business. Quality in the design of the site, quality in the navigation of the site, quality in the content of the site and quality with the products and services the business is selling. It just comes down to good old business basics, give the people what they want, great quality at a great price and the online business world is no different as much as many will believe they just need to throw up any old site and sell any old thing, so long as they have visitors coming in. A high quality site that fills the above needs and requirements for visitors will put them in a positive mindset and that means more sales and profits.

Internet Marketing Beginner’s Guide – Vol 2 – Get Training – Part 2

So far we have covered the pros and cons of entering into internet marketing training via an affiliate program. While this is by far one of the most effective, structured, streamlined approaches to receiving training, it is not the only way. Next we will go into some free methods that you can use to find quality information on how to market online.

Forums

Once you start to develop a base of understanding you will begin to have educated questions that need answering. This is when forums can become a huge help. While initially forums may do you more harm than good when you have no idea what information is relevant or what you are even looking for, after you know what to ask you can find invaluable information in forums and even get feedback for questions you ask yourself.

Two forums I highly recommend are “Digital Point Forums” and “Warrior Forum”. Both of these are internet marketing forums with tons of topics and tons of people who love to contribute to those topics.

Pros

Forums are like a melting pot for people and ideas of all shapes and sizes. Here you can glean value from the collective knowledge and experience of thousands of people in a highly targeted, highly focused environment. If you look hard enough you can probably find someone who has already asked almost the same if not the same question you have and if not, you can always ask it yourself.

In a good forum the community will be highly active and eager to share their knowledge with others, newbie and experienced alike. You can easily receive answers to your questions and insights into the industry. And who knows, you may even make some new friends along the way. Plus…it’s free.

Cons

Of course when you are searching for information in the forum setting you will find that anyone can voice their opinion regardless of whether their information is correct or not. For this reason you will always want to dig a little deeper to find supporting claims and see what others have to say to make sure you are not going to be following bad advice.

Luckily this is usually a fairly simple process, especially in the more high quality forums. You just have to take the time to read a variety of responses and pick out the things that are constant or that seem to be accepted as common knowledge. Often times when someone does make an inaccurate claim there will be a flurry of responses from many other people pointing out those inaccuracies and clearing things up, so that helps as well when you are looking for good advice.

11 Powerful Ways to Use a Professional-Grade Email AutoResponder to Build Your Business

Email autoresponders are extremely powerful indispensable marketing tools for any business on the Internet whether that business is an “online business” or an offline business with an Internet presence. There is no better marketing tool currently available for consistent controlled communications to your customers, potential customers, and even employees, partners, and suppliers. This article reveals 17 powerful ways to use your autoresponder; the primary focus is for business applications, but autoresponders can also be used for non-business applications as well.

Before we cover the various applications of email autoresponders, let’s cover what an autoresponder is … An autoresponder is a webserver-based software application that sends a pre-written sequence of emails (text or HTML) according to a pre-defined schedule when someone joins (or is added to) your email list.

Application #1 – Sales Messages:
======================================
The most obvious business use for your autoresponder is to provide a sequence of sales messages when a potential customer completes a form on your web page or clicks a link to join via email. The best way to get prospects to join your sales stream is to offer them something of value for signing up (e.g., a free report, newsletter, ebooks, or simply a link to a website).

Application #2 – Training:
======================================
A slightly less obvious application for your autoresponder is to provide a mini-course, or even a massive training course. For example, you can sign up to receive a free mini-course about how to use Pay-Per-Click (PPC) advertising and even get your PPC ads for 80% to 90% lower cost; see resource box below. Or you can sign up for a free course with 101 lessons on marketing and how to get your web host to pay you.

Application #3 – Steps To Use or Implement:
======================================
The next form of training is a formal procedure on how to use a product or service purchased by your customer. If you sell a course on money-saving techniques, like the MONEY SECRETS Home Study Course for example (see resource box below), you could use your autoresponder to send them a fast-track course on specific steps to do each day for two weeks. If you sell above-ground swimming pools, you can have them join your autoresponder to get all the installation instructions.

Application #4 – Duplication & Team Communications:
======================================
If you are involved in Multi-Level-Marketing, Network Marketing, or referral marketing, you can “publish” your autoresponder campaigns so your “downline” can easily import your campaign for their recruiting and/or sales efforts.

Application #5 – Banner Advertising:
======================================
Some autoresponder services include free banner advertising services. You can upload your banners (or use the ones they provide), and they will display your banner ads.

Application #6 – Free For All (FFA) Advertising:
======================================
FFA pages allow people to advertise their products and services with one-line ads that are displayed on your FFA page until it scrolls off the bottom of the list due to other ad submissions. The power of an FFA page is you get to send a single email advertisement of your own in exchange for letting your prospect post their ad. This can be a nice free form of advertising for you.

Application #7 – Generating Traffic:
======================================
Some professional autoresponder offer a quality guaranteed traffic service to further market your business. This is usually offered for an extra charge, but you earn a commission on your own ads (which means you are actually getting discount prices). Furthermore, you can advertise your guaranteed traffic website and earn a commission when someone places an order on your website.

Application #8 – Capturing Leads:
======================================
You can also use a sign-up form for your autoresponder on a “squeeze page” to capture leads (i.e., to build your list). This is generally done by presenting a compelling offer if the prospect enters their name and email address. Then upon submitting their information, your form immediately takes the prospect to a web page and sends the first email in your campaign.

Application #9 – Tracking Ads:
======================================
On the Internet, there are lots of services that offer ad-tracking links where you enter the web address for the website you are advertising, and the service gives you an alternate web address. Then by advertising the alternate address (i.e., your ad-tracking address), it will register a “hit” every time someone clicks your ad-tracking link. Then the link automatically and immediately forwards your prospect to the target address. This is a great way to determine which advertising resources deliver and which don’t … thus saving you money when you cancel the ones that don’t produce. But why pay for this service if your autoresponder offers it for free?

Application #10 – Product Delivery:
======================================
You set up your autoresponder to deliver information products … whether offered free or purchased. All you have to do is publish the product on the web, and pass the web address (and the UserID and password if applicable) to your customer you’re your autoresponder.

Application #11 – Broadcasting:
======================================
Broadcasting is the ability to send an email to everyone on your autoresponder list simultaneously anytime you wish; in other words, the email has not been pre-written or added to your campaign. It’s just an impromptu email sent to your entire list. The next seven techniques all fall under the category of “broadcasting”.

*** ALERTS:
If you want to alert your customers to something unexpected, broadcast it.

*** NEWS:
Notify your customers about a change in your business … for example, new address, new email address, special holiday hours, etc.

*** SPECIAL OFFERS:
If you have a large email list of people who remember and like you and your products, you can announce a special price, a new product, or limited-quantity promotion, and generate a nice influx of cash. Make sure you make a limited-time offer.

*** REMINDERS:
Use your autoresponder broadcaster to remind your subscribers of an upcoming event, sales expiration, or whatever you want them to remember.

*** Keep You In Mind:
On average, most people must see you and your product seven times before they will buy, so use your autoresponder to keep you in the forefront of their mind. Be original; make them look forward to hearing from you again.

*** Publish a Newsletter:
Writing your own newsletter has many benefits. It establishes you as an expert in your niche; it reminds your prospect you exist; it educates your customer; you can add your ads to your newsletter for free, and you can even sell advertising in your newsletter.

*** Conduct Surveys:
Send out surveys to your email list. Find out what your customers want, what they liked and disliked about your products or services, what they wish they could get (leads to new product ideas), reveals where they frequent on the Internet, … The only limit is your creativity. Want to know something from your customers? Use your autoresponder broadcast feature to ask them.

Not all autoresponders offer all of these applications: you need a professional-grade autoresponder to get most of these applications, and there is only one autoresponder I have found that actually offers all of these applications and more.

This particular autoresponder also has the most important characteristic of a small fixed monthly fee … no matter how big your subscriber list gets. In fact, you can have unlimited email campaigns (i.e., email sequences), unlimited emails per campaign, and unlimited subscribers per campaign, and the price stays fixed at $17.95. Plus you can get a 30-day free trial, and with just a little effort, you can even get your autoresponder service free for life within about 60 days (see the article list below). You can learn more about this autoresponder and request a free report in the resource box below.
